Being held in the corridors of Laman, I get to see many vibrant Maybankers laugh and sweat as they hold onto the Plastic Pressing Machine to create their own charms and carabiners from discarded plastic. It was refreshing to see them take pictures of their creation and show them off to their peers!
Why did I bring this episode to life?
With today's youth taking a lead in climate change activism, I believe our voices mustn't be sidelined in crucial decisions. Curating this episode during Maybank Group Sustainability Week resonates as an opportunity to empower our generation, emphasising that sustainability is both our responsibility and a collaborative effort. Also, who’s to say recycling plastics can’t be fun and cute? I enjoyed watching Maybankers create their own carabiners and charms, and I hope they enjoyed recycling as much as I do!
