When and why was GenM introduced?
The inception of GenM began in 2022 aiming to provide a platform to empower the youths of Maybank. This year, we are shifting our focus from exclusivity to inclusivity where GenM is open not only to the local public but across the globe by including countries such as Singapore, Indonesia, Philippines, Cambodia and Vietnam.
What are the next steps after registering my interest?
After registering your interest, we will notify you by email when our Episodes are up and open for registration. Since seats are limited for some of our Episodes, please register to reserve your seats!
Episodes are the experiences curated by #MYouths which revolve around our three pillars: Learn. Play. Defy.
Can I join GenM Summit even though I am above the age of 35?
Absolutely! We welcome youths not just by age, but by heart as well.
Can I join the GenM Global Summit if I am not a Maybanker or part of #MYouth?
You bet! GenM is now expanding beyond the walls of Maybank and is even going international.
Where will GenM Summit 2023 be held?
All Episodes will be held in different venues according to the needs of the sessions for a unique experience for all episodes. Be sure to check your email to see if GenM will be happening near you!
Do I have to pay to register for an Episode?
No need to dig deep into your pockets - all of our Episodes are 100% free of charge!
What is the GenM Global Summit?
The GenM Global Summit is Maybank’s first Youth Summit that extends beyond Maybankers (a.k.a. Maybank staff) and curated by #MYouths. It will launch on 21 August and runs until September 2023 with opportunities for youths of the public to mix-and-match their experiences through Learn, Play and Defy activities.
#MYouth is a by-youth, for-youth community for Maybankers below the age of 35 to connect, and engage with one another.
What happens when the countdown ends?
That would mark that the GenM Global Summit 2023 has officially started! Come and start your GenM experience by signing up to our Episodes happening that day and the days to come up to finale. If you can’t join us physically, hybrid Episodes are available as well!
If I join GenM but I’m not a Maybanker, am I considered an #MYouth?
Fret not! We have the #MYouth+, an extension of #MYouth for the passionate non-Maybanker youths!
How do I know I have reserved my seat after registering for an Episode?
A confirmation email will be sent to your inbox by yours truly, the #MYouth curators! 😊
I have registered for an Episode but can’t make it due to other commitments. What should I do?
You can reply to the email of your seat confirmation at least one day before the Episode to inform of your unavailability and we will give your seat to the next person who registered.
If I didn’t register for the Episodes, can I still join/walk-in?
Yes! You can just register through our website at genm.live if spots are still available. We will prioritize those who have registered earlier and you can be on standby in case people didn’t come.
What if I can't make it for all the Episodes?
Don't worry! Being able to mix-and-match the Episodes and curate your own journey is part of the GenM experience. Feel free to register for the Episodes you're interested to learn more or most passionate about!
